However, despite this Varric still remains the only one able to equip his crossbow. Varric has the option to unequip Bianca and replace his primary weapons with two daggers. As runes are not specific to Bianca see rune and rune schematics for additional information. They include: arms, grips, aiming modules and as aforementioned, runes. Bianca is also unique in the sense that it is the only weapon in Inquisition that has four upgrade slots available. Unlike it's counterpart in Dragon Age II, the weapon does not improve with level, instead it upgrades with three types of unique components and an additional slot to equip a rune.
During Haunted in Act 3, Bianca can be upgraded to a fourth rune slot if you allow Varric to keep the shard from the lyrium idol.īianca can be physically and visually upgraded like most weapons.
However, the spell will still work on it.
Bianca does not change color and texture when Elemental Weapons is activated.
So, the higher level Varric is, the stronger the crossbow becomes. However, Bianca automatically levels as Varric does. Bianca is the only weapon Varric can use in-game and it cannot be unequipped.
